Strip Club With Controversial Twist Sets Sights On Nashville - NewsChannel 5.com - Nashville, Tennessee -

This part really disturbs me....
------------------------------------------
Metro Councilman Michael Craddock does not want Nashville to become known as host to one of the south's only male strip clubs.

"I'm sick to my stomach - I'm just absolutely sick," said Craddock. "It's different for a man to show himself than a woman. It's another step in the wrong direction."
----------------------------------------
So its ok for a woman to strip, but not a man? Is it because he would have penis envy?

Birthers beware....the truth is here.

This 2007 document titled a Certification of Live Birth is a real, official document. This is a birth certificate provided by the state of Hawaii. This Certification of Live Birth is based on the original, unreleased, birth certificate from 1961.

Will they start believing the truth now?

The F Word....

Some people don't realize what they say until its too late. Many of you about the University of Hawai'i Coach Greg McMackin. It looks like an apology just isn't enough and I couldn't be happier.

The coach got slapped with the following:
  • suspended without pay for 30 days
  • voluntarily participating in the salary reduction
  • participate in activities directed at improving the environment for our community through working with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community on campus
  • participating in a public service announcement describing how words can hurt, presenting during student orientations, and supporting awareness training for the athletics program
  • part of the money from his salary reduction will be used by the University to support a student intern for LGBT to assist in conducting campus-wide workshops in awareness training

Its that time of the year....

Haha...I know I suck at this blogging crap. I'm actually doing good with facebook and twitter. This sometimes just seems like too much work. Anyway, I came across this editorial from Maryland's first Muslim lawmaker Saqib Ali. Its amazing and many people should learn from this. Here's my favorite part....The topic is Gay Marriage.
"I'm proud that I'll have stood on the right side of history: In support of full marital rights for same-sex couples. My stance on this issue isn't politically expedient. Homosexuality is strictly forbidden in Islam. As such I have evinced much grief from my most conservative supporters. But I recognize that I represent people of all faiths and no faith at all. If I tried to enforce religion by law — as in a theocracy — I would be doing a disservice to my both constituents and to my religion."

Many of our current lawmakers could learn from this. You are appointed to your position by the majority of the people you represent, you have a duty to look out for minority rights as well as the will of the majority. You are to vote on topics based on their best interest as a whole, not just the few that agree with your thoughts. You should know the people you represent, you need to do the right thing.
